Hi!
Thanks for visiting my site. My name is Ayesha and I currently live in the cold regional city of Ballarat, only a one hour drive to Melbourne. I am married to an amazing man, Nick Shady, and have a five year old daughter, Grace. Christmas 2012, we welcomed our beautiful son, Spencer.
I am interested in a wide range of
topics, including art, writing, photography, research, community
development, communications, and technology, maternity services,
and complementary therapies.
I have had a varied career that has seen me work in a range of different roles and sectors. Since giving birth to Grace in 2006, Ii have worked from home running a small business providing website implementation and graphic design, as well as a career service helping job seekers with their cover letters, selection criteria and resumes.
As a teenager, I dreamed of working
overseas as an aid worker. In 1998, I moved to Chiang
Mai in Northern Thailand. I went to Thailand with Australian
Volunteers International and worked as a community development
worker with a women's NGO called Empower where she ran programs
for Thai sex workers. I then went on to work with a
number of other NGOs who provide services and assistance
to Burmese refugees.
One of my life-long passions is
complimentary therapies and I have studied Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Reiki, Reconnective
Healing, Kinesiology, Bowen Therapy, and Pranic
Healing. In 2010, I also became qualified as a birth attendant (doula).
Wishing you all the best!
Cheers
Ayesha
